Loyola School reminds me of a young lady, twenty years old—beautiful, gentle, self-confident, lovely.
Across these twenty years, Loyola has sheltered hundreds of children under her motherly protection,
offering them love, knowledge, discipline, compassion for the poor, and liberation of the downtrodden.
This rare formation transforms them into men and women for others.
Inspired by St. Ignatius of Loyola, whose spiritual journey in Manresa shaped the Ignatian charism,
our collaborators are trained to guide children far beyond academics.
Although I spent many years in Xavier School, my heart always beat for Loyola, where students struggled to
express themselves in English. I joyfully taught the 7th Standard to lay a strong foundation. Today those
very students have completed their PU examinations — seeing their smiles fills me with joy.
Loyola began with 40 students; today it stands strong with over 750. The dedication of teachers, the support
of the Director Fr Cyril Raj, the leadership of Sr Juliet, and the love from the staff make Loyola a true home
for children.
Exposure through sports, inter-school links, cultural interactions, and a nurturing hostel environment
uplifts children from poverty into confidence.
I congratulate the Director, Headmistress, staff, and the editorial team of Dhruva Tare.
May this guiding star continue to lead every child toward the ultimate goal of life.

Message from the Founder
Through the gift of education, Loyola School has transformed pain into possibility and silence into a voice for the voiceless.
Pannur–Manvi Mission
I am overjoyed to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Loyola School, Manvi.
It is truly God’s blessing to reflect on the mission that began with
Fr Maxim Rasquinha SJ, Fr Joseph Monteiro SJ, and myself.
Loyola School has been a beacon of hope for Davadasi and Dalit children—a place where the voiceless
find a voice, and the marginalized discover dignity.
As the Gospel says: “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Loyola embodies this mission by offering abundant life and opportunity.
This institution has lifted families out of poverty, planted seeds of hope,
and transformed children into confident, faith-filled individuals.
Loyola has broken barriers of caste and inequality, creating a loving, inclusive community.
On this milestone, I pray that the school continues to shine as a light for the poor and the marginalized.
