The Teachers' Day program at Loyola School commenced with a heartfelt prayer service led by Prerita and her team, seeking God's blessings for all. Following this, the teachers were warmly welcomed with greeting cards as a token of appreciation.
David Sir, the assistant headmaster, congratulated the teachers for their dedication and hard work. He highlighted that teachers are the ones who guide students through difficult times and help them reach their full potential. Various activities and games were organized for the teachers, making it a day filled with joy and gratitude. David Sir also encouraged students to appreciate their teachers and live by the values they impart.
A memorable speech by Sonu Marcel of class 9th during the Cultural Program emphasized the significant role teachers play in shaping students' lives, expressing deep gratitude on behalf of all students. Mr. Anukul, an assistant teacher, shared nostalgic memories of his childhood, reflecting on the profound influence his teachers had on him. His speech reminded everyone of the lasting impact a teacher can have on a student’s life.
Fr. Cyril Raj, the director of Loyola School, spoke on the importance of values in education. He stressed that values are essential for a well-rounded education and help individuals become good citizens and lead meaningful lives. He encouraged students to embody the values they learn in school.
Sr. Juliet, the headmistress, addressed the gathering on the importance of knowledge in life. She remarked that while all things may pass away, knowledge remains. She urged the students to strive to acquire as much knowledge as they can.
The program also included a tribute to Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan, with the garlanding of his portrait, honoring his legacy as an educator and philosopher.
