On 17th of September we celebrated Liberation day of Hyderabad - Karnataka at school Quadrangle. The chief guest of the program was Mr Dyavanna, head of department of arts, Loyola Degree college. The president of the program was our superior Father Leo Pereira. They both were accompanied by the founder of the Pannur-Manvi mission, Father Maxim. Other dignitaries included heads of the various units in Loyola Institution. Our national flag was hoisted by chief guest of the program Mr Dyavanna, head of the arts department. After that the stage program began with the prayer song lead by Chaitra and the group from Loyola school setting a respectful tone for the occasion. This was followed by a welcome speech by Bindu shree from Loyola pu college welcoming all the distinguished guests with flowers. After that the highlight of the event included the garlanding of portraits of significant leaders: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and Mahatma Gandhi, all the dignitaries honoured their contributions.
The chief guest, Mr. Dyavanna, Head of the Arts Department, gave a speech about the history of Kalyana Karnataka, emphasising its significance, past struggles and one of the kalyana karnataka districts in Raichur, where we have two rivers but these rivers are not being used for us.
Then Fr. Leo Pereira, the president of the program, addressed the staff and students on contemporary issues related to education and health, underscoring their importance for the community. The program ended with a vote of thanks.
